Microsoft Virtual Machine Converter

Hello. Does anyone have the RC download of Microsoft's VM converter or know where I can get it? I've tried joining the release program at MS' Connect site but the links don't work for me, even after signing in with my Windows Live ID. I'm needing to convert a VMWare virtual machine (VMDK) to Hyper-V. I tried the free VMDK2VHD from VMWare but it didn't like it. I got invalid VMDK file. The virtual machine I'm trying to convert was a physical machine.  I used VMWare's vCenter Standalone Converter to convert it. Any assistance is appreciated. Thank you!

P.S. I'm also a novice at posting questions on EE so if I've posted in the wrong area, please let me know.

Have you tried Disk2VHD? There is a bit more involved but I've had little issues so far.

No, I'm not familiar with it.  I did a quick search. If I used it, I would have to bring my physical machine back up and convert it using this utility. I would ignore the vm I created with VMware's converter, correct?

I've done it primarily with Client OS's (Microsoft only) where you run it from the guest while active and save it to the server (network copying fine). Doesn't matter if it's a VM or physical machine you're copying. It seems to identify if you're doing Server 2003 or XP and asks if you want to convert to a VM image on the fly.

Ok, I might give it a shot. I don't do this often so I'll probably FUBR it. I appreciate your help.
