i open a network excel file (with password) - make changes and cannot save it back

I have a very strange problem:
i use WIN7 + OFFICE 2010
these problems only started lately:
when i open an excel file on my netwrok (net-app storage) and trying to save it after changes, this what happens:
1. if the file is not password protected - save file works great
2. for a password protected file - the "save" works (it let me click it and it start thinking), but at the end i revive a message: file was not saved.

its not a privileges issue - i created a new file, changed it and saved it , and as i said for files without password it works fine

does anybody encountered with this issue ?

    Accepted Solution

I had a quick look on the WEb, and unfortunately, it sounds as though this is not an uncommon problem.  There are a couple of links below to Microsoft pages that offer suggestions, perhaps they might help?

The user copied the files and the new file didn't have this problem...very strange
and he didn't want me to try the solution: "it works... don't touch :-)"
