Cannot delete a partition which had Hyper-V files

I just exported all my virtual machines from one partition to a new SSD drive. I imported all my hyper-v machines and all is running smoothly from the new SSD drive.  I cannot delete nor format the old partition which had the vhds for hyper-V.  All that is remaining in the old partition is system information (as a hidden folder).
How can I best delete or format this partition.

How are you trying to format it?
    What error gives it?

Did you change the default Hyper-V folders to point to the new partition as well?

No, I didn't change default Hyper-V folders correctly.

    Thanks for your help
