Microsoft Licences with Citrix

Hi,

we are  implementing VDI in our environment
we using Citrix presentation server to stream the sigle desktop to all users as a session based or stream desktop. and streaming through citrix recevier to iPADs and Android devices also.
and applications through APP-V and Xenapp.
we had SA agreement already in place.
my questions are
1) do we need VDA licences to cover ipad and android or RD-CALs are enough to cover this?

thank you,

ven

you need both microsoft os licenses and remote desktop licenses to cover,
if  you will be spinning up a new os image (virtual machine) when the user logs in

If you are having users to launch a published desktop from a XenApp server, you need RDS/TS CAL's, a server OS license (per server), and Citrix XenApp licensing.

This will allow you to access the applications from any type of device.

From a Microsoft perspective you will need the RD-CAL and the VDA license, depending on the nature of your SA agreement, this could already be covered

hope this helps
