windows server 2008 updates

In server 2008 windows update interface I can't see the updates that it wants me to install until after they are installed.  I checked the 'change settings' and have this set to check for updates but let me choose weather to install.  When I run this it just says 9 important updates but I can't see what I am choosing to install except during the actual installation they list the name of the one they are installing but that is after the fact.

In server 2003 when I did this I got to see all of them before I made an actual install.

Is there anyway to change this so I can see these again.

I can see the optional updates from here.  I don't have any critical security updates at this time. will I also see them and be able to choose them from this interface?
