Converting an Excel file to a text tab delimited file

    Hi All,

    I'm trying to convert an excel/csv file into a text file so that i can import into access, i tried saving as text tab delimited file but it comes up with tab spaces which is fine but i need the spaces to be in sync, i will attach the text file for you to see.

      Yemi7 - You should click the Request Attention button and have this question reassigned to more appropriate category or categories (e.g., MS Excel).  The Lounge is more for general discussion.  I'll have a look at your file.

      Can you specify a row where you are seeing issues with the tabs going out of sync?

      When I open this up in Excel or in a text editor, everything appears to be aligned.  What method are you using to import into Access?

      Accepted Solution

      If you are going to import it into Access, switch to using comma seperated. (.csv file)
      Access will import a csv file with almost no manual work.
