Is the export OVF function part of the Client or the vCenter Converter Standalone ?

And how do you export an OVF

Export an OVF is a function of the vSphere Client.

Select a Virtual Machine (make sure it's OFF)

Select File > Export > Export OVF Template

ExportOVF
(the VM Must be OFF).

You can also export and copy with VMware Converter, see here (different program), this also allows you to copy whilst the Virtual Machine is ON.
