AD FS 2.0 Installation on single server

I have read all the system requirements and recommendations for installing and configuring AD FS 2.0.  I have to admit that they are somewhat vague, unless I'm just not understanding 100%.

So my question is, can AD FS 2.0 be implemented on a single server?  We have passed 443 from outside our network to the server running as a Federation Server.  We do not plan to install NTLB nor AD FS proxies.

Anyone have success in setting up this scenario?

AD FS is a huge animal in itself. I have provided a linked which will illustrate detailed information in regards to setting this up.

Focus on the Step-by-Step and Deployment section.

ADCS is also a big part of ADFS as well so also take that into consideration.

Hope this helps
