New Install of Business Objects Enterprise 12.0 - Conflicts with Crystal Reports Runtime 2008

I have a development server (Windows XP) on which I installed an application that uses Crystal Reports Runtime 2008. All was well until someone else came along and installed a newer version of Business Objects (12.0). Now my application can't successfully use Crystal Reports.

Apparently Business Objects upgrades some files of which my app needs the older versions. I've learned that if I rename the Business Objects folder and reinstall RunTime, it creates a new Business Objects folder (with the older versions of the files it needs) and my app can run reports fine. If I then copy the original BO files back, it hangs. I need to figure out how to make the two coexist. Is there a way to install my 2008 runtime with custom parameters that tell it to look in a custom location for its BO files? Any ideas?

The file I'm using to install CR Runtime 2008 is CRRuntime_12_0_mlb.exe.

Not that I am aware of.

I believe the issue is that for BOE and Crystal to exist on the same server, they need to be at the same SP level.

Try updating your Crystal to the same SP level as BOE.

How do I determine my service pack levels? For Crystal and for BOE?

For Crystal you can
Open Crystal
Click HELP --> ABOUT CRYSTAL REPORTS
The version number includes the SP level  12.x.x.xxx
The first x is the SP level

I don't have a BOE install I can log into available.

I don't have Crystal Reports loaded, only the runtime. My application uses the Crystal Reports runtime, so I don't access it directly. However, I have learned that my BOE is SP3, so I'm trying to locate and download a Crystal Reports Runtime 2008 SP3. Not having much luck. Do you know where I can download this?

Thank you so much! You were exactly right. Once I got my Service Pack levels matched up, everything was fine. Thanks for the link, too. I had a really hard time finding the Crystal Reports Runtime versions, but the link has them all!
