VMware View boot options

Hi,

I am setting view for 5 users. How do I make them boot? Is there a client or something? The users need to have no access to local machine, as in no ability to access the local disks.

Thanks,

Well, this should be something you already have in place as part of your VDI solution.
The answer depends on what protocol you are using for your VMWare View clients, PCoIP or RDP?

If RDP, then any thin client will do (Wyse, HP, etc...)
If PCoIP, then you need to look for specific thin clients that support that protocol.
Wyse P20 is one specifically made for View.

Or if you want to re-purpose their existing machine, there is a software for that as well.

Thanks for the reply, I have three desktops that will be used, one wyse, and one HP thin client. This is for proving a concept, so I will defer to you all, what would you use will a simple setup and the hardware i mentioned in this...

-Note, I have full VSphere 5 environment to support all of this.

Thanks!

Use RDP, check that your Thin Clients support VMware View, and follow the Step by Step Walkthrough.
