IBM HS21 Blade Server, possible hardware issues
Hello all,
I have an IBM Blade Center with 14 HS21s. All are in working condition except the #6 Blade. The Blade will not boot to a disk when directed to do so by the boot menu. VMwares Hypervisor ESXi (version 4.x.x) was previously installed on the hard drive (2 75GB HDDs in a RAID array, both of which are known to be good), but now it won't even boot to that; it will come up with 2 lines on a black screen that say 'I9990301 disk failure or disk reset'.
I ran the diagnostic utility and it seemed to indicate that there was some kind of hard drive failure, which cannot be true; both HDDs are brand-new and work in other Blades.
I've exhausted all my ideas as to what may be causing this, so hopefully you Experts can help me out.
Thanks!

Yep, but much easier to diagnose if it is a HW problem. If it fails diagnostics, then think of all the time you save messing with VMware, operating systems, registry, drivers ..
Also if it is hardware, you can easily find out how much it costs to repair and be done with it once and for all.
