Hi Yogesh_Exchange_Expert,

What is your client current Messaging platform? version, number of mailboxes?

Simply there are two-methods for mailbox migration from on premise Exchange solution to O365;

1- Cutover Migrations; Use E-mail Migration in the Exchange Control Panel to migrate all the mailboxes and corresponding mailbox data from Microsoft Exchange to your cloud-based e-mail organization. This type of migration is called a cutover migration because all on-premises mailboxes are migrated in preparation for moving your entire e-mail organization to the cloud.
Cutover migration are typically chosen when you deal with a small number of mailboxes, where no coexistence between cloud and on-premise is required.

2- Staged Migrations; It allows you to move some mailboxes to the cloud while maintaining the rest of the mailboxes in your organisation's on-premises Exchange environment. You can also use this type of migration as an intermediate step to moving completely to a cloud-based Exchange organisation.
Staged migrations are typically chosen when you deal with fairly number of mailboxes, where no coexsistence between cloud and on-premise required.
Staged Migrations are typically chosen when you deal with 1000+ mailboxes, where coexistence between cloud and on-premise is required.
