I have created an MDE from and MDB so that users who only have access runtime can use the application.

All features wouk except 1 (see attached screenshot).

On closing a form i delete some table records and run a few queries in VBA.

Works fine in access vbut not in runtime.

Any ideas why?

The instr function is built into Access VBA, and should be usable from queries, etc.

Double-check that your database is in a 'trusted location' on your Runtime machines.

Also, if this database was developed in a different version of Access, make sure that your references are set properly for Access 2007 (tools --> references from the toolbar in the VBA Editor).
