i want to keep a shared folder of software to install it anywhere by executing files on the folder . but i dont want to copy anybody those folder .

    best idea is to use on that share a special install user access only so when you connect to the share you have to authorize to the installer user. is the less headache about this topic

    if i give authorization to user where it is installing , he can copy on to his computer . i dont want that

    Provide the user with read and execute permission for the folder.

    Accepted Solution

    If the user can "execute" he needs to "read", if he can "read" then he can "copy". There is no way to implement your request using standard windows security ACL, and no other way I know of. In a domain environment you can deploy software with policies, making the "install" share accesible to administrator group only.
