What I did so far -
I have deleted the profile and try opening it again, enter new a profile and almost got to the end and received the message again.
I also tried putting in a check in the compatibility option - did OK and went back in and un-checked the compatibility option

Error Message -

Try simply creating new profile without deleting the original one.

First disable any 3rd arty apps like antivirus, anti spam, firewall.
Start - run -msconfig
Click on startup tab and uncheck everything
Click on services tab and put a check in "hide Microsoft services" then uncheck all those boxes.
Reboot
See if the error went away.
If not
Create a new profile and call it test or anything that is different than what you have. When you start outlook it should prompt you to pick a profile. Pick the new one and see if the error is still there.

By the way what version of outlook do you have?

Can you try the full path of the outlook.exe?

Eample:
Start ==> Run ==> "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office12\Outlook.exe" /cleanpst

I found out that cleanpst only works in office 2003 not 2007. I also tried all suggestions from pclinuxguru

When I created another profiles after all that, it let me created it and choose the new profiles Test but then came up with the same error.

I also did try outlook.exe/cleanprofiles with no luck.

Can you run scanpst.exe?

It's Located under C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office12\SCANPST.exe, it will discover corruption in your profile and will repair it.

This laptop is due for a refresh so I have talked to the user and instead of spending anymore time on this I am going ahead with re-formatting the hard drive and installing Windows 7 instead of Windows XP.  Thank you so much for your help and time.
