Hello Experts,

I have a query that selects

3 columns,

the last column has been changed to a TEXT area so that I can edit data in that column

I want to have a button that will submit those changes to the table.

Have you setup the query as a Tabular Form? This allows you to update the data in a table within APEX. Add a Submit button and it will save the changes. The application will prompt the you about changes when you use the pagination links on the report as well.
