Formatting (datasheet) toolbar in Access 2010
Would you please tell me where we have in Access 2010 Formatting (Datasheet Bar) so I can quickly check value in any field in case if Table has multiple columns.
I found Text Formatting, but it does not let me go and search for field names as it was in Access 2010
Please compare word files
DB-Screenshot was done using Access 2010
Please see cirled field in word file "DB-Screenshot-Access-2000 ". I'm looking for same thing in Access 2010

...In other words, I could not find the specific functionality you are looking for in 2010.
Typically the user uses a Form, (not the table) to do data entry.
So you can make a form that is "Datasheet" (looks just like a table) and the user will use this Form to do data entry.
Then they can use the property sheet to search for fields, as I listed in my above post.

Jeff, we are not looking for data entry.
My manager will need to search for value of the field in table with 20 fields (columns). In access 2000 we used "Formatting (Datasheet Bar)"
How can we do it in Access 2010 tables. Property Sheet is available in the "Design" Mode.
I thought by using Advanced Filter or Filter by Form by it's not working. However, functionality is little different. Do we have something similar to "Formatting (Datasheet Bar)"

Forgive me, but I will have to go home and verify this in my copy of Acc 2003.
But if you need to "search" for a value in a field, you can use the "Find" icon
(on the Home tab)

Tried, with the Find icons we can search for known value. I'm asking if I can search for value using <<Field Name>>

Jeff, simulation will not work. Is there are any equivalence to "Go To Field" on table, not on the form? Any provided information related to the form will not work.
I could not find anything...
But check the options in the Quick Access toolbar, just in case....

Looks like no answer will be provided. Is there any way to look up for value in the table which has 30 colums besides using queries?
Again, you are asking for the ""Go To Field"" utility.
As I said, this searches for a "field", not a "value" in a field.
So I am confused when you say:" My manager will need to search for value of the field"
The utility you are asking for did not do this.
Can you clearly explain the feature you are looking for and what your ultimate need is?
Search for a field?, or search for a value "in" a field?

Jeff,
In access table with 30 columns we need to find value of the record based on column name without using query.
Example: value of the column based for specific loan number
I was able to find specific value based on Column Name. You called it "Go to Field" utility: To be clear I circled my question in the attached file "DBScreenShot-Access-2000" (I have screenshot of the Access table)
I was asking if there are any way use same utility it in Access 2010

I think that's the best what I can get for this question
In design view of a Form or Report, you can press the "F4" function key and see the Property sheet.
You can search for fields in the box in the top left
