Hi,

I would check printer drivers on your TS. If your printer is installed on TS get latest drivers for server 2008 ((x86) or 64bit depending what you are running) from printer manufacturers website. If your printer is connected through Remote Desktop Client (so installed locally on you machine you remote from) make sure you have correct drivers on both (your machine & the server).

Hope this helps.

I installed the printer on the server and I can print to it.
I installed the same printer on the client and I can print to it locally.

But when I try from the TS application it does not work.

I noticed if I share the printer, and install that shared printer on the server, then from my TS App I can select the shared printer and it works...

However if I try to print to the redirected printer it does not work.
Any ideas on this one?

TS App will be using your server driver since the application runs virtually on your pc form TS server. When you are saying:

"I noticed if I share the printer, and install that shared printer on the server, then from my TS App I can select the shared printer and it works..."

Where is the printer shared from? Also within your remote APP when you go to print did you try selecting locally installed printer (on TS server) rather than redirected printer?

The printer is on the client, and is shared.
From the server I can install the shared printer on it, and when I use the TS App, I can see the redirected printer as well as the shared printer.

The redirect option did not work, but when I print using the shared printer name from the TS App, it works...

When you say:

"From the server I can install the shared printer on it, and when I use the TS App, I can see the redirected printer as well as the shared printer."

Did you actually installed this printer as local printer on TS or is it mapped to TS from work station?

I suspect you are mapping this printer from Workstation to your TS, how about adding it as local printer? Is this print machine with network interface?

Also if it works as a shared printer on TS, is this not acceptable?

Hope this helps
