IP PBX questions

seem to be having an issue now logging into my Mitel 3300 IP PBX, via IP. I get to the login page and it takes my credentials....then goes to the 1st page (most of the time) and after about 30 sec i receive the following error:
HTTP://1.0  500   java.net.socketexception  no buffer space available

Have not had reason to log into system in last week but for the last 3 yrs it has worked without a problem.

Phone system seems to be working fine, all calls and voice mails working properly

Plan to restart the controller but in the event that does not clear it up.....

Hi,

You should not be worried to restart Mitel 3300 controller. Before doing so, log on to the controller -> navigate to Maintenance and Diagnostics -> Backup/Restore -> and then backup, from there - select where you want to save the backup file on your local PC or alternatively you can follow steps above and hit External FTP server after Backup/Restore point.  This will ensure that you have latest system backup in case of failure or settings loss. Now reboot controller.

In regards to your Java/500 error this might be related to certificate error. Could you import Mitel 3300 certificate to your "Trusted Root Certification Authorities" store. Restart Internet explorer.

Hope this helps

I would try to do a backup but it won't let me go anywhere past the original login screen. I have a backup from about 30 days ago, and no major changes, just a few extensions...where can i pull the 3300 certificate from, is it on the web or in the equipment

Hi,

To export mitel cert from 3300 controller website use FireFox (web browser).

1) Type your 3300 IP in the url

2) Click "Understand the risks"

3) then click "Add exception" (new windows will pop up)

4) Then hit "View"  (new windows will pop up)

5) Go to "Details" tab and Highlight "Mitel Networks Root CA" and click export

6) Don't change any details and save somewhere on your PC.

7) Navigate to the location of your ".crt" file right mouse button on it and pres "Install Certificate" (new windows pop up)

8) Click "Next" at the beginning, then select "Place all certificates in the following store"

9) Click "Browse" and select "Trusted Root Certification Authorities", click ok

10) Click "Next" and "Finish"

Next time you will navigate to 3300 web interface (using IE!) you wont be promoted for anything related to the certificate, you should just see log on screen.

Hope this helps
