Firewall for mac snow leopard

it there a default firewall on macintoshes? the OS is 10.6. if there is, how can I turn it off?

You have Firewall but its disabled by default

Hi,

You need to go to
1. System Preferences ==> Security.
2. Go to tab "Firewall"
3. Click on the lock symbol at the bottom.
4. Give your admin authentication
5. Then you need to click on "Stop"

But by default the build-in firewall is Off.
