I wanted to know information regarding the ITIL V3 Foundation exam. What's the cost associated withthe exam, can I take it online-at home, how many questions, what's the passisng score, multiple choice and lastly what's the best way to study for the exam and knowledge?

In the US, it's $159 US.

Yes, but I believe it costs more (add an extra $20US) to take it at home, and there are some somewhat stiffer requirements.

Unfortunately there isn't a 'best' way, there's only a best way for you. Personally, I have an easier time picking up material from books, so I'm self studying. There are a lot of organizations who offer training classes, and there are a lot of other training materials. The normal IT advise applies here -- don't use brain dumps, and try to use more than a single source for the material.
