I have a virtual Suse Linux Enterprise 10 (64 bit) machine.
I recently updated my ESX hosts to 4.1 U2.
I wanted to update the vmtools on this linux server.

In the summary it states VMTools Not installed.

I am getting a Failed services in runlevel 3:                        vmware-tools

I am also getting : VMware Tools is installed but it has not been correctly configured for the running kernel. to reconfigure it, invoke the following command: /usr/bin/

How do I fix this?

Uninstall, re-install and re-compile the VMware Tools, e.g. re-install, and providing make and gcc are available it will make the new tools.
