Oracle Solaris Live 11 and Static IP

I just installed Solaris Live version 11 and it is receiving an IP address through DHCP. I want to give it a static IP address.

If I go to "System | Administration| Network, I see that it is wired and connected using DHCP. but, I do not see how to make it a static IP.  How do I change the IP settings on Solaris Live 11 so that the IP settings are static?

PS: This version is graphical and I am hoping there is a UI to do this.

You can reserved the IP in your DHCP server for the box, so you box will alway get the same IP.

or manually change the settings to use fix IP:

Please have a look at the instructions in the following page:

You can also use vi to edit the configuration files, have a look at my answer in http:Q_22056560.html
PS: you still need to delete the DHCP files as in the above link, kill the dhcpagent
restart the network service.

Hi Yuzh, thank you for your reply. The link you posted with instructions contains no text. Do you still have this information in a different link? I will take a look at the VI information in a couple of days.

Interesting. That link works for me in that I am taken to another site, but the site says, "There is currently no text in this page. You can search for this page title in other pages, or search the related logs." I wonder if you have to be a member to view the page.

I like your other links and they look exactly like what I am looking for. Thank you for your help.
