Export Config on Juniper SSG5 FW

I'm new to Juniper so I need a little assistance exporting my configuration on the firewall and loading it into another for staging.  I see how I can export to a txt file but my question is "can this txt file be imported in a simialr manner?"

Yes. If you export the config from one Juniper machine, you can import into another. In the menu area where you exported the config, there is a menu choice to import and the machine is the same, it will come up working. You can import into a different box, but you may have to adjust the config.

You may have to adjust IP addressing and policies if you are introducing the box to the same network.

Hello,

Here are WebUI and CLI steps how to backup and restore configuration to or from remote storage.

Hope it will help!

Regards!
