i gave now the external IP of the server (of the network) but still not working,
what do i have to set on the router? i tried to forwarding port 21 to this server internal ip but still unsuccesfully

not exactly, i would like to prepare filezila server to work on server on a network that when i connect with filezila client from outside the network i be able too

yes the ip its not the local address

how do i make sure that port 21 is open on the server? i am success to connect from filezila client outside the network to the device i want which is local ip 192.168.1.87 in the router when i am changing in the router to the local ip of the server 192.168.1.131 the FZ client is failed on user/password

do i have to define user before FZ server is connected? do i have to define port 21 not just in the router and also on the server? if yes where?

but to set ftp user before connecting/running to FZ server? where do i define FTP user on the server (its server windows 2000)

when i am connecting with FZ CLIENT to actual IP its success to connect for a second, but FZ server is not running, it could be?

yes but all the menu in FZ are grayout because it not abling to connect to server
