Exchange 2007 SMTP Isolated I/O error crash
Exchange 2007 with a single server configuration, with no recent server config changes.
Background: One of the domains expired and was renewed a few hours before the crash.
Resolution: Just had to start the SMTP transport service (started without any errors)
I'm just not sure why the issue occurred in the first place. The errors pointed to either
A) Antivirus (isn't one installed)
B) Disk space (have 300 GB free)
C) Flat file backup (none running at the time of the failure)
Any other thoughts?

Seems like we had a lot of DNS configuration or misconfiguration issues were lying in wait for us and then all hit at the same time. Thanks for the response.
