With the 'Everyone' setting.  Give 'Everyone' Full Control.

So if I understand this correctly, I have to select SHARE, not SECURITY to select EVERYONE ?

SHARE allows you to share a folder (so if you navigate to the machine name, it will show up).

SECURITY allows you to set permissions at a more granular level.  They complement each other.  If you have conflicting permissions, then the more restrictive permission will overrule the less restrictive one.  More detail here:-

If you let me know what you are trying to ahieve (i.e. how the folder will be accessed) then I can give more detail.

I am trying to get ftp to work.  I set up ftp in IIS but when I log in, it says I do not have access to the directory

So I want to make sure I give the directory access to everyone

What version of IIS (or if you don't know, what version of Windows?)

Windows 2008 R2

OK - in this instance you don't need to set-up a SHARE as IIS handles that side of things.

Check you have set FTP up correctly:-

If you have any problems, then check the permissions on the FTP folder (default is %SystemDrive%\inetpub\ftproot) and let me know what errors you are getting and what permissions are set on the FTP folder.

Could you please post a tutorial that shows Anonymous instead of Basic access.
