MSVCR100.dll missing

I am trying to install a php / MySQL environment on my Windows 7 computer. I found out about WAMP, I went to & download WAMP. I tried to install it, it got ALMOST all the way through, then said the installation failed because MSVCR100.dll was missing; try installing again. I tried the 64 bit version first ( I haveWindows 7, 64 bit), then the 32 bit.

I did a Google lookup on this; there are a WHOLE bunch of references, including at least one on a Microsoft site. But the Microsoft one starts talking about C++, Visual Studio, and a bunch of other stuff I don't need.

What is the safest & quickest way to install this?

    Accepted Solution

Depending on your OS (64 / 32) you should install one of these

    32 Bit

    64 Bit

Apache needs this in order to run
