WinForm user control as resource

How would I go about building a user control in its own project so that I could add it in other projects/solutions as a resource(?)

Make sure that your UserControl is declared as Public.

Set the project that contains your user controls to compile as a .dll (Class Library) in the Application tab of the Project's properties window.

When you want to use the control in another project, simply reference the dll thus created as you would any other dll, and your control will be available.
