Develope iPhone/iPad Apps

I'm a (fairly) experienced .Net (vb) Developer with Web and WinFOrm Apps

Is there a way to do that with Visual STudio 2003 and is there a walk through site somewhere?

Hi Irbrister,

I was am a Vb'er.  Objective C is a little different.

My answer is you cannot write a native iOS app for an iDevice with Visual Studio.  You need xCode which is Apples equivilent of Visual Studio (major difference is M$ rips you off and charges for the full version (this is one of my pet hates with VS).  xCode is free to use).  This I think is not 100% the opinion of everyone.

See this link about Mono

See this - which I just googled.

It has been a while since I looked at the topic but I have a feeling that even when you finish writing an app, lets say you used a text editor.  You need xCode to complete it and upload it to iTunes.

xCode by the way is only made for OSX.

Of course if you are makeing a webApp then the answer would be different.

Start here at the Apple Developer site.

And to get you started these are the tutorials I first did.

I suggest you to check out Stanford's iPhone Development course videos at iTunes U. They are free & complete trainings if you want to begin developing in Mac OS.
I agree with Programmer-x they are good if you have the time.
