sonicwall global vpn client connection problem

Here is the setup at the client side
sonicwall tz180 connected ppoe to a verison 7500
I have installed the SW global vpn client on a workstation behind the equipment above.
It will not connect to the server.  other clients connect with no problem.
log shows :  Failed to find MAC address........
think it is something to do with the sonicwall connected to the verizon (which has a firewall)
Direction please?

Someone has described this solution:

The way I was above to resolve this (managed to get sonicwall VPN client to work) is to uninstall the existing version of sonicwall client and then when reinstalling changed the directory path to a different folder other than C:\program Files\Sonicwall\XXXXXX.
The folder I used was C:\VPNClient and gave this folder full access to everyone.
After the installation is done go to device manager and under Network select the virtual NIC and enable it before you configure the VPN client.

turned out to be a problem with Verizon router blocking the connection.
