Keyboard shortcut to Show/Hide sheet tabs in Excel

Is there a keyboard shortcut to Show/Hide sheet tabs in Excel (2010)?

It seems like there are keyboard shortcuts for almost every other similar setting but I have Googled a number of "Excel shortcuts" lists and have not found one anywhere. Also, I have never found a button or check box in the View menu  which means that keyboard shortcuts beginning with "Alt" is not an option either.  As a result, the only option is to take several steps:

1) File >
2) Options >
3) Advanced >
4) scroll down to: Display options for this workbook >
5) check box to Show sheet tabs
6) click "OK" to save changes

Unless there is is an existing keyboard shortcut that someone knows about, is there a VBA code which would do the trick?

You can put the following macro in your personal macro workbook and add a icon to it on the quick Access toolbar.

Sub ToggleDisplayTabs()
If ActiveWindow.DisplayWorkbookTabs Then ActiveWindow.DisplayWorkbookTabs = False Else ActiveWindow.DisplayWorkbookTabs = True
End Sub

Open in new window
