Look under this Lenovo Page and use the Network driver for "All Operating Systems Listed". That is probably the best choice.

For that class of machine, XP may be happy with its own Ethernet Driver.

Hi Thinkpad_User

Correct me if I'm wrong but your link took me to :
Intel Ethernet drivers and applications - ThinkCentre A52, M52
File: q37z53usa.exe
I have already tried and it is not compatible with:
IBM Lenovo thinkcenter MT-M 8215-YQ4

Look on this page here and put in your model number (8215-YQ4)

http://support.lenovo.com/en_CA/downloads/default.page?

It says:    ThinkCentre M52 (8215-YQ4) . That is where I got the M52 from.

That machine appears to have come preloaded with Vista. It also has a SATA hard drive. That is why the NIC driver is not compatible.

If that machine could be obtained with an XP Option, you probably should contact Lenovo Support for the Recovery CD's.  XP does not install natively on a SATA drive and something may have gone wrong there.

If you are still at the point where you can re-install XP, go into the BIOS and set AHCI to compatiblity mode. Then delete all partitions and try to install XP again. If it installs correctly, then XP may recognize the ethernet card.

After changing the Bios to Win XP, and reinstalled Windows XP update installed the Intel Pro 1000 Network connection.
