EMC don't view AD

Halo,
something happens: after starting EMC i view no users, Hub Transport etc. All lists are empty, error "Active Directory server xxx is not available". But other services are OK, including AD.
It looks as EMC lost connection to AD. Any suggestions?

What is this EMC?

A console to a certain EMC product?

Any version numbers?

MMC 3.0, version 6.0, running on same server. Exchange Server 2007 ver. 08.01.0436.000

I believe he is talking about the Exchange Management Console (EMC).

You need to give us more information. Are you running this directly off the Exchange Server or on your workstation? Did it work before? Is this a new install? upgrade?

Does it show the server names under Server Configuration?

Check your Event logs and see if there are any errors pertaining to Exchange.

I found this solution and it function:

create another user that is in the domain admin group of your active directory, log on with that account and verify that the exchange tools works. then follow this to remove the profile.
 
 >1). Logon the Exchange server by using another admin account.
>2). Open Control Panel, select System.
>3). Select Advanced tab and click the Settings button of User Profile.
>4). Delete the Profile of user which encounters this issue.
>5). Click OK.
>6). Restart the server and logon it by using Administrator account.

 
once this is done, logon with your administrator account and try the tools again, they should work.tn
