Wordpress Odd Page URL

I inherited a WordPress site, and I need to make modifications to it. The Blog page http://labinsky.com/blog is redirected to an odd URL: http://labinsky.com/background/contact/blog-2/

I can't figure out why this is so, why I would want to leave it as is, or how to disable it.

Any ideas?

The previous designer was using the addin PageMash

Check your .htaccess file for a redirection and also check for any other plugins that could be doing a redirect. Don't think PageMash is the issue unless it can do redirection too

I found an .htaccess in the root that contained the code below:
# BEGIN WordPress
<IfModule mod_rewrite.c>
RewriteEngine On
RewriteBase /
RewriteRule ^index\.php$ - [L]
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteRule . /index.php [L]
</IfModule>

# END WordPress

Open in new window

These are the plugins that are installed (not all are activated):
Akismet
Audio player
Collapsing Pages
Coming Soon Pages [Free]
Dean's FCKEditor For Wordpress
Get Post List With Thumbnails
pageMash
Recent Posts Slider
SuperSlider-Menu
Tell-a-Friend Widget Plugin
Widget Context
WordPress Database Backup
WP Title 2

What else could be the problem?

There could be code in the page templates forcing the redirect.  Check index.php, page.php, etc.
