Need OS for Cisco 2948

Hi
I am trying to setup a lab so as to study for CCNA and would like to use some fall out equipment.  Currently I have a 2948G switch and need an IOS file for it.  The IOS was lost on this device due to a power outage during an upgrade.  Yes ... I did learn a lesson (someone elses mistake) about making a backup of the OS before doing the upgrade, but that doesn't help now.

Also, I understand that Cisco gaurds the OS files and pretty much why - however, personallly i beleive that once a product is end of life ..... anyway.

The switch is a WS-C2948G with bootrom version 6.1(4) built in 2001
Installed Mem: 64Mb

Any help in finding an OS do i dont have to invest vast amount of funds would be appreciated.  Plenty of files on the net but all come back wrong platform.

The only official method is to have a logon ID for Cisco's website and a registered serial number for your siwtch associated with your account.  Like any other file, there are, of course, sources out there that we can't name on this forum.

As said, we can't point you directly to a source. Google however.........

You may philosophically disagree with how Cisco does things and that's fine.  But at the end of the day, that's how Cisco does things.  If you want an exception, contact them.  I doubt they'd do it, but it's either that, pay as you need to, or violate licensing - which we cannot help you do.
