No - as long as they are set to inherit (default) they will get what is assigned to the folder above.

Not sure if this is the proper place to post this question.<br />

I have few hundred folders and subfolders (Server 2003)<br />
I add users to these folders regularly.<br />
some users will be read only - Some write Only - some Both.<br />

when I right click on the main folder/properties/securiti<wbr />es / highlight the user/ advanced / I put a check mark on allow inheritable permission .....<br />

The user is able to enter and view the main folder, (not the sub folders), in order to be able to view the sub folders, I need to go into each sub folder and add the new user.<br />

is there any command I can use that will give permission to folders and sub folders.<br />
