Corrupt roaming profiles

have a client that used %Logonserver% for the path for roaming profile instead of specifying.  alot of multiple profiles and profiles not found.  They decided they can do without roaming profiles.  Whats the best solution to just break those profiles, clean them up and go back to using local domain profile.?

    manual labor

    switch the to local and remove from server

    or, change the path on the server to a new user folder, then manually move their stuffs to a shared drive
