I'm having trouble determining a good solution to replicate a large amount of data to a DR site over a 100 mbps link between 2 physical Windows Server 2008 R2 machines.
We have 1 VMware cluster at each site. There are 6 hosts at each site with a total of nearly 100 VMs. The amount of data after deduplication and compression is about 8TB. This is the total size of the backups file, each incremental is much smaller. The backup software is making a minor change to the previous incremental each time it creates a new incremental so the files are no longer in sync at each site.
Some backup files are more than 100gb and I'm worried that DFS will have a problem with files this size and larger as the max supported size is 64gb.
I'm looking for the best way to acomplish this site to site replication on a daily basis.
Thanks for any suggestions. Let me know of any other info that may be helpful.
