The risks you have, enabling Remote registry is quite null if you do not allows the running scripts on your machines and if you trust only the machines which are part of your domain. However, if the Remote Registry is disabled by default, it is due to the fact that Microsoft tried to show that in Windows 7 no potential breachare enabled by default!
