Windows 7 and Remote Registry Service

Could someone provide me insight into the security risks by enabling the Remote Registry Service on Window 7 systems. We noticed from windows XP it was enable by default and now on windows 7 it is disabled. We need this to run a bomgar hosted solution and we are not sure of the risks.

The risks you have, enabling Remote registry is quite null if you do not allows the running scripts on your machines and if you trust only the machines which are part of your domain. However, if the Remote Registry is disabled by default, it is due to the fact that Microsoft tried to show that in Windows 7 no potential breachare enabled by default!
