javascript redirect but avoid the pop-up blocker

I'm wondering if it's possible to use javascript to open a new window and, at the same time, avoid the pop-up blocker of browsers?

I have this code on here:
window.open("http://www.ultratrust.net","Download your free books now!", "modal=yes");

for the google+

at the top right corner.

No, you cannot avoid the pop-up blocker. The entire reason it exists is so that the user can control when webpages open other windows.

However, except for the most paranoid users, the pop-up blocker settings will probably allow a page to open in a new window in response to an action taken by the user (such as clicking on an image).
