Is the SRM 5.0 Protection Group requirement same as v.4, any changes?

i.e I am looking at selective VM protection in a datastore, rather than all VM within the same datastore.

    Accepted Solution

The requirements are the same for SRM 4.x and 5.0

SRM organizes virtual machines into protection groups based on the datastore group that they use. All virtual machines in a protection group store their files within the same datastore group, and all failover together.

Use a smaller LUN (datastore) and a single VM per LUN.
