Microsoft Outlook Timezone information

We use Microsoft Outlook, I communicate between different timezones like EST and IST (my timezone)

I recieve a message from New York, EST with the following credentials.
Is this time in EST or IST?

Sent: Sat 8/25/2012 4:00 AM
To: abc
Cc: def

There are different scenarios:
1. Someone sends mails from EST to someone in IST,
The person in IST timezone recieves this timestamp.
Is this in EST or IST

Sent: Sat 8/25/2012 4:00 AM

Cc: def

2. A person in EST timezone sends a mail to a group- DBAgroup whose members are in different timezones.
Now what is the below timestamp, EST or IST

3. I from IST timezone send a email to EST timezone. What will be the timezone for the above timestamp

4. I from IST timezone send a email to a group-DBAgroup the group members who are in different timezones. What will be the timezone for the above timestamp

Outlook should auto adjust meetings and emails for the curent time zone its in

If its not, its usually always realted to one of the machines or server in the corresponding group not having the latest DST Updates

Check here for the latest DST Updates
http://support.microsoft.com/gp/cp_dst

make sure all PCs/Server involved have the latest updates

It surely depends on your machine Timezone as Outlook will convert the time with your machine .... so either you can have the IST users keep their timezone on their Machine OS or have them change the timezone to EST :)

What is the version of Exchange and Outlook ?
If they are E2k7 and above it has the DST patch applied.
