How to import this VM into my Hyper-V host?

This is using MS Hyper-V server 2008 R2. There is a MS Virtual server VM, that comprised of 1 *.vmc file and 1 *.VHD file, that I intend to be imported into the above Host. How should I do to import the VM? Shall I do some conversion? Are Hyper-v 2008 has different format if compared with Virtual server 2005? Please show step-by-step.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Jeremyno,

I used the VMC2VH and follow the instructions as stated in the article. I Managed to create a new GUID for the VM based on the given *.vmc file. However, after power up the VM, the mouse not working - sort of mouse input not capture. secondly, NIC not detected - in Device Manager, none of the NIC is detected.

Any idea?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Jeremyno,

I don't seem to see the MSConfig -> Boot tab -> Advanced option...; not HAL Detect out there. This VM is using MS Windows 2003 enterprise.
