Record internal calls using Oaisys 7 and ShoreTel phone system.

We have Oaisys 7  and a ShoreTel phone system to record calls coming in and going out to the outside. The phone system is using PRI trunks. We would like to be able to record calls made internally (inter-company) from one extension. Is it possible to record internal calls made by one extension? If it's not natively supported, is there a way to route the call out of the system and then back in just to get the call recording?

Thank you

Is the Oaisys setup to record call on the trunk side instead of the stations side?  That is what you description implies.  Many IP-based call recording systems today record by port mirroring of calls based on station assignment.   The Oaisys can record on either - see the attached for the white paper on how they do this with ShoreTel.

One option is to add the station side recording, then you can capture all calls to a specific station.

A work-around (if a temporary arrangement) is to use the ShoreTel remote "Extension Assignment" feature to route calls out and back in (to a second DID number) to record all calls.  However, the user will be able to tell the calls are looping out and back in, so if you want to record without them knowing it, this will not work.

Thanks for the information. I'm not seeing the attached whitepaper. It looks like Oaisys IS set to record on the trunk side, so I would like to know how to add one station port to the recording list.
