HP Insight for vCentre

I have only just discovered that you can get HP monitoring straight from the ESXi host to vCentre, so I have embarked to get this working.

I migrated all of my VM's off one of my HP DL360 G6 server's and reinstalled ESXi with HP's own custom one.

I downloaded the Insight for vCentre plug in and installed that also.

So now in vCentre I have an extra tab with HP Insight on it, which is great, but much of the information is still coming up as unknown etc.

Tried having a look about and there is talk of HP Management, Insight Server, etc - I'm a bit lost in all of this, was hoping someone could clarify what I need to do/install?

HP Systems Insight Manager is a server which can monitor all HP devices.

HP also have new Virtual Package, which you can purchase from HP, which integrates into vCenter Server.

Hi Han.

I have installed the VC plug in, and a reboot of the host brought all the information to life - firmware versions, extra sensors for iLO etc - perfect.

However I don't see anything prompting me this is a trial or requiring purchase?
