Uninstall Office 2013 Preview
Hi Experts,
I recently installed Office 2013 preview on my system using "professionalplus_en-us_x8 6.exe" measuring 640 MB, but I was unable to activate using the key given on the download site due to some reason I couldn't understand properly.
I uninstalled the Office 2013 on 26.08.2012 using the Control Panel option, but after uninstalling it Office 2010 application started troubling me a lot. I tried to restore the system to before the original Installation of Office 2013, but that restore point was not available and so I had to restore the system to just before the uninstallation of Office 2013. It solved the problem a bit, but now Office 2013 is not working. Downloading and using PROPLUSWW doesn't solved the problem. Office 2010 is working. But other side effects have started to appear. When I click any link on the taskbar (like Games, Computer, Default Programs, Control Panel) I get a message like
Explorer.exe
System call failed.
I downloaded the "O15CTRRemove" file from http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2739501 but it doesn't seem to help. BTW I couldn't also understand what is "Click-to-Run suites". How do I know whether it was installed using "Click-to-Run suites" or using "MSI package".
I am using Windows 7 Ultimate
Kindly guide How do I proceed that I may be able to uninstall Office 2013 fully. Just wish I wouldn't have installed it. System worked perfectly before that.
Regards
Kanwal

Hi David,
The Office 2013 was never activated. It was giving some message which I couldn't understand fully and so wished to uninstall it. Before that I have licensed Office 2010 activated on my PC. Office 2013 was installed in addition to Office 2010.
Hi Jcimarron,
After uninstalling the Office 2013 I tried to restore it but it was asking for some ProPlusWW file which I downloaded. But on selecting the file it gave message that file should be present in a folder from where I can install Office 15, but I don't have any such folder on PC. Infact I couldn't find any file in the folder in which I had installed Office 2013 earlier.

Also, you might try running SFC Scannow to repair the Explorer.exe error.
