outlook 2010 contact group email

Hi,

actually I sent a group contact as an attachment from outlook 2010 to a recipient who is using outlook 2007, he is getting the email with an attachment with an extension .msg and can not open it. however, I can internally open that group contact with no problem.

here what I suggested to a recipient to do.

open the email --> Go to contacts and drag and drop the attached group contact to your contacts but that didn't help either.

please let me know.

You can also share the contacts folder with the user if he is a internal user

Firstly i would say create a blank Pst with just the Contact group and send to user and he can then use the Pst to check and import data.

Hi Rancy,

Can you give me the details how to achieve that.

I created the .pst file on the desktop -->  New Item --> More Items --> outlook data file

but I don't know how to add a contact group to it.

Thanks,

Firstly create a folder with option of "Contact Items" inside PST and then simply make a copy of the Contact Group that you have in Outlook into that folder.

Now you can detach that PST from Outlook and then ZIP and share with your friend.
