Modifying a GIF Image

I have a gif image (see attached). I would like to modify it so that it only says:

MURAP Student Application
Coming Soon!

instead of what it is saying now. In other words, I want all the text on the image removed except for the above two lines. I would like the color scheme and everything else to stay the same.

What is the easiest way to make these changes?

If I erase the text, won't it also remove the background color?

The asker will achieve a lot more if we show them how to do it rather doing it for them, this way they can then learn this and do it themselves.
Like feeding a hungry man fish teach him how to fish ie PAINT lol for them self.

Any paint tool that has either a brush or clone tool to copy the background colour and cover the white text with the colour of the same background, so that basically you wipe out the text you don't want
Paint.net  free open source
load the image as image then go to colour picker ( looks like an eye dropper)
Ink Dropperto change colour for front and rear and click on the background colour of your image
the two boxes on the right should now change to this orange background
then select the brush tool and at the top increase the brush width a little paint out the white text leave what you want
Brush to take out textthen click on T for Text
Add Textleft click in the area you want to put TEXT
you'll see a small plus
go over to the boxes now orange and change to white by dragging the dot to the white center
There is an UNDO just below Layer and Adjustments looks like two blue arrows left and right pointing, left is undo
Select your Font and Font Size from the top
Font Size and TypePaint .net shows you the Fonts and what they look like excellent tool.
Font TypesWhen your done Select the Blue pointer at the top to deselect the Text
then go to file save as Gif
Use copies
