Am having compatibility issues with

http://www.careercity.org
http://www.careercity.biz

in IE 7 on XP
The middle of the website shifts and extra header-size downward making the visual slightly awkward.

Any suggestions

There are still many users of IE7, and even IE6.  That does not change the fact that they are obsolete and incapable of rendering a modern page correctly.  That is why the hacks exist.
